Vanderpump Rules star Tom Schwartz is in the middle of a busy summer. He and co-star Tom Sandoval are just days away from opening the doors to their long-awaited West Hollywood restaurant, TomTom. And, now an insider claims that Schwartz and his wife, Kate Maloney, are trying for a baby.
According to Radar Online, Schwartz and Maloney have been talking about starting a family since they got married in 2016. In an interview earlier this year, the 35-year-old said that he loves kids, and one day he wants to have a farm. Maloney added that they weren’t getting any younger, and her husband already has gray hairs.
“Tom has been talking more and more about having baby, and they both agree that it will be sometime very soon after TomTom opens,” says an insider. “They are excited about the new chapter.”
The source also revealed that the 31-year-old Maloney has been working out and getting in shape. Plus, she is monitoring her body and trying to live the healthiest lifestyle she can.
The news that Schwartz and Maloney are trying for a baby comes after they found themselves in a scandal last season. Lala Kent accused Schwartz of cheating on Maloney during a drunken tryst, and he didn’t deny the accusation. However, they seemingly got through it, and are ready to start their family.
But, they have picked quite an interesting time to add a baby to their lives. After months of menu-testing and fine-tuning their cocktail program, Schwartz and Sandoval are finally making TomTom a reality.
The “work spouses” have yet to finalize everything, but they are close. And, at their recent soft opening, Sandoval revealed that the must-order cocktail on their menu is the Gentleman’s Curse because it is a beautiful drink.
Before he could say what was in it, Schwartz interrupted by noting that they haven’t finalized that drink, and they haven’t finished naming the cocktails. But, Sandoval continued to reveal his favorite drinks, including the Simon Phoenix. He explained that it is an absinthe cocktail with fresh pineapple juice, lemon juice, and habanero-infused agave. But, he wouldn’t give any more details because it is still a work in progress.
“When you drink this drink and inhale, it just reignites all the flavors!” said Sandoval.
Tom Schwartz says that everyone is welcome to TomTom when it officially opens, and there is no secret to getting in — except an 18-part handshake that is easy to learn and not that big of a deal.
New episodes of Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo later this year.
