Five months ago, Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent announced that she was giving up alcohol after the unexpected death of her father. But now, it looks like the reality star has fallen off the wagon.
According to a new report, cameras recently spotted Kent at The Belmont Bar in West Hollywood downing several shots of tequila during a boozy brunch. Joining Kent were her co-stars Stassi Schroeder and Brittany Cartwright, and the three women were celebrating a belated birthday.
OK! Magazine is reporting that Kent seemed to have no problem getting loose, and at one point she was double-fisting drinks, with a shot in one hand and a mixed drink in the other.
In July, Kent talked about her decision to give up alcohol after her father died, and she said that she started to numb herself from the moment she opened her eyes to the moment that she closed them. But then, she decided to make some changes in her life.
“I woke up one day, and I was like, “I’m making the decision to stop. I am officially breaking up with alcohol. I’d watch people drink and be like, ‘Oh, my gosh, my mouth is watering. I could so use about 20 vodka sodas.’ And now, it doesn’t even faze me,” said Kent.
However, it looks like she has changed her mind.
The VPR cast has started shooting Season 7, and one of the storylines will most likely be Kent’s relationship. Her boyfriend, Hollywood producer Randall Emmett, recently popped the question, and the two are officially engaged.
Emmett proposed during a romantic trip to the Esperanza An Auberge Resort in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where they were celebrating Kent’s 28th birthday. She told People Magazine that it was an amazing day, and it was the most romantic moment of her life. Kent added that Emmet surprised her with every stunning detail, and she was still in shock.
His proposal started when he set up a screen for Kent to watch Friends, one of her favorite TV shows. But then the screen went dark before showing a video of the couple and their memories together. At the end of the video, Emmet got down on one knee and asked Kent to marry him. And, while he was putting the diamond ring on her finger, fireworks went off in the background.
Lala Kent says that she keeps looking down at her ring finger, and she is happy to say that she is officially engaged to Emmett. She added that she is excited to start planning their life together, and she wants to put as much detail into the wedding as he did into the engagement.
New episodes of Vanderpump Rules will return to Bravo later this year.
