Lala Kent is known to be an open book on everything except her highly scrutinized relationship with director Randall Emmett. Recently, the ‘Vanderpump Rules’ star opened up about the dynamic between the two of them, his children, and his ex-wife.
If you don’t know by now, when Lala first started dating Randall he was in fact still legally married to actress Ambyr Childers although he was separated. After the relationship was hinted at on the Bravo show, the model left the series and returned the next season where she was still pretty tight-lipped about the romance.
Randall and Ambyr were officially divorced in December of last year. Since then, Kent and her man have been flaunting their love.
The 27-year-old told the story of how she met her 47-year-old boyfriend during an audition.
“That’s how Rand and I met actually. He called my manager at the time and said we want to bring in Lala for one of these roles. So I went in. I did casting. I met with Rand and his partner, the director. It took about two years for the film to come to fruition, and in that amount of time, Rand and I had become inseparable,” the reality star explained.
She also didn’t mince words about those lavish gifts that she receives: “The thing is like when I first met him and it was on like a very professional basis, he was sending me Chanel bags and shoes, and we had never done anything except have a meeting in the presence of other people so it wasn’t like I was asking for things.”
Emmett is a father of two daughters that he has from his previous marriage. Lala gets along with both of them but has a lot in common with the oldest who is 8.
Ambyr and Lala have been feuding since Childers basically called her a homewrecker on social media. Kent has sent multiple threatening messages to her lover’s ex which Ambyr shared online.
The “Boy” singer addressed the situation during her interview with The Jenny McCarthy show where she said: “So, I said my peace and she wanted to take it to the streets. I just think I do a reality TV show, and I know when things should be made public and I know when things should not. And so I thought that was in very poor taste of her. I just have nothing really bad to say about her because I don’t know her. You know? I just know that she posted something that I sent privately and I think that speaks volumes about her character.”
Lala also mentioned that Randall asked her father for her hand in marriage before he sadly passed away.
“Vanderpump Rules” is currently filming its seventh season that will premiere later this year on Bravo.
