Tyrese Gibson may have received a stroke of good luck following his alleged child abuse scandal regarding his ex-wife and their 10-year-old daughter. According to BET, a court ruled in favor of Tyrese.
His ex-wife, Norma Mitchell Gibson, claimed that in 2007, while she was with their child, the actor rushed into their bedroom late at night and “poured water on her” and punched her nearly ten times.
Norma added that the abuse continued after she gave birth to their daughter, Shayla, stating that Tyrese “punched her in the head” when they were in an elevator together along with their – at the time – four-year-old daughter.
Want you guys to know I️ had a real Heart to Heart with one of Dewayne’s associates and this will be my last post about him…….. I️ repeat my last…. I️ respect the associate who called.. My story will never change I️ was never DJ’s Co-Star… I’m Shayla’s Father first…. Justin Lin is back in the driver seat that’s exciting cause it going to feel like the true #FastFamily all over again….. When we see Justin we see Paul…..
Additionally, Celebrity Insider reported that on the 19th of August, Tyrese allegedly “went into a rage” and forced their daughter to the ground and “beat her with her arm” because she disobeyed his order not to take money from a piggy bank.
According to Norma, the incident started due to Shayla’s attempt to “steal the money” from the piggy bank.
In a report from The Blast, the LA County Department of Children and Family Services finished their investigation and will not pursue the matter. Furthermore, they won’t be pressing charges against him.
If the reports are accurate, it’s a win for the actor as he won’t suffer criminal charges. However, as for if the allegations are true or not, no one can say for sure at the moment. It’s indeed been a rough month for the actor considering his alleged child abuse case as well as his one-sided feud with The Rock.
Tyrese recently announced on his Instagram that he wouldn’t be talking about Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson anymore. Many on his social media page claimed that it was about time. In his post which you can see above, Tyrese stated he spoke with Dwayne’s “associate, ” and he realized he must stop his tirade.
