In a brand new interview, Tyga got candid about his split from Kylie Jenner, and we were able to learn more about how that highly publicized breakup felt for him. The rapper also confessed that the whole thing inspired his new album!
Tyga was asked whether or not the split affected his career as much as it affected him personally and that is when the rapper admitted that it actually helped him make his upcoming album Kyoto.
‘I would not have made this album. I needed God to test me. I needed Him to put me through fire, make me feel what it’s like. I think going through that, I learned a lot and was able to sit back and just analyze where I want to be in five, ten years. I put my very heart on the table in front of the whole world,’ he stated.
So it sounds like the breakup from the makeup mogul had a huge impact on Tyga, and he suffered a lot but also channeled that pain into making music from the heart.
That being said, we’re pretty excited to check it out as soon it’s available!
Tyga went on during the interview, to talk more about the soon to be released album and what we should expect as well as about the breakup as it really seems like the two are interconnected.
‘This is my heart in music,’ he stressed once again before going on to talk about the aftermath of what happened with the younger Jenner sister.
‘I did not really expose myself [to the public and media]. I was just in a regular relationship.’
As for any future relationships, the rapper explained that he is determined not to let ‘nobody dictate your life. You got to do what you feel, and you cannot hold back based on what people are going to say.’
It sounds like he really reflected on a lot of things after the split from Kylie and is now a more mature person.
