Sometimes this kind of news just makes you wonder what has become of politics, but we have to admit that it is, indeed hilarious. Oh, Donald…
Everybody who still kept a small strand of hope that Hillary Clinton would miraculously have a comeback and somehow take the office is now disappointed because Donald Trump has held onto his victory and next month is the official inauguration. But fear not, the president’s life is going to be far from easy with all the people that cannot trust his judgment and leadership.
It’s already quite tricky for the Republican president to do his job right when he can’t even book an A-list star to perform at his inauguration. Obviously no entertainer in their right mind would want to be associated with Donald Trump these days.
According to a source from Trump’s Presidential Inauguration Committee the group is hoping “to do better than Kid Rock and Ted Nugent.”
“They are willing to pay anything. They told me, ‘We’ll pay their fees.’ Most of these artists’ fees are in the six to seven figures,” the anonymous insider added.
Donald Trump has high hopes for the ceremony, and is thinking to bring hugely acclaimed artists such as “Justin Timberlake and Bruno Mars.” Good luck with that!
However, an official speaking for the inaugural committee, spokesman Boris Epshteyn, denied the report, stating that:
“No one with any official position at, or official relationship with, the Presidential Inaugural Committee is engaging in the conduct described. We are focused on organizing an exciting and uniting celebration of freedom and democracy while following all rules, regulations and appropriate standards of conduct.”
Well, nevertheless, it’s going to be difficult for the president elect to trump Barack Obama’s 2012 second term inauguration, when Beyonce sang the National Anthem, and James Taylor played America the Beautiful.
