Sarah Scott, an actress who appeared in shows such as True Blood as well as Castle, accused her fellow actor, Kip Pardue, of placing her hand on his penis while they filmed a sex scene. Moreover, Kip supposedly masturbated in front of her after they were done.
According to Scott, the incident went down in a dressing room after they had just finished shooting for Mogulettes, which was a television pilot that came out in May.
In a conversation with the Los Angeles Times, Sarah said, “I literally froze,” and asked him,” what are you doing?” Kip allegedly said to her in response that it “wasn’t a #MeToo thing,” because “he wasn’t her employer or anything like that.”
Pardue, known for his role on Remember The Titans, The Rules Of Attraction, and The Runaways, said that he has since apologized to Sarah for placing her hand on his penis, but vehemently denied the other part of the story.

According to Pardue, he “clearly misread the situation” during the scene and he said sorry afterward. Following the incident, Sarah said she did everything she could, including contacting the Screen Actors Guild, the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund, and also filed a report with the police.
Now, Scott says that she’s disappointed Kip “tried to hide behind his actions.” Currently, there is a disciplinary committee in deliberations for determining Kip’s fate.
He may be suspended or expelled from the SAG-AFTRA. However, the meeting was postponed when both parties entered the meditation process. Scott went on to say that speaking out about it was “extraordinarily difficult for me.”
According to Scott, she wants Kip to “take full responsibility” for his actions. As you may know, this is just one of many accusations to come out of Hollywood since the #MeToo movement began in October of 2017, sparked, primarily, by the allegations against Harvey Weinstein.
The future for gender equality in Hollywood is uncertain, but many organizations are tightening their human relations departments and introducing new quotas and other mandatory policies to try and “level the playing field.”
