Tom Brady can take criticism, but when it comes to his family, especially his 5-year-old daughter, he doesn’t hesitate to draw a boundary for one second. On the 29th of January, Tom abruptly stopped an interview with WEEI radio after he found out that the host made a mean comment about his daughter, Vivian Lake.
According to a report from Us Weekly, when Alex Reimer talked about the “Tom vs. Time” documentary he not only said the “first scene was fake,” but he also had some unsavory words for Vivian.
Reimer referred to a scene where Brady was “in the kitchen,” and his kid was acting like an “annoying little piss-ant.”
The 40-year-old football star said he has shown the hosts tremendous respect over the years and said he has always tried to do a good job when appearing on the show.
However, following the news of the host’s comment, Tom said he was hugely “disappointed” to hear such language about his family.
Kirk Minihane apologized, and Tom ended the interview. He said, “so I don’t have much to say this morning.” The quarterback said maybe he would talk with them some other time.
WEEI announced Reimer was fired from his job. A fan tweeted to Reimer on Friday morning that it sounded like he would lose his position and he said he would, “stand strong.”
As for what Gisele Bundchen thought of his remarks; it’s currently unclear, as the former supermodel has not commented on the host’s statement.
A source who is close to the couple explained, “Gisele wouldn’t be happy to hear what the radio host had to say. I don’t think Reimer meant anything particularly bad about their 5-year-old, but either way, his choice of words was not good, that much is for sure.”
