It looks like the stage production will debut starting October 31, for a limited run at the National Theatre in Washington D.C.
The anticipated adaptation has been written by Fey herself with music composed by Jeff Richmond.
The lyrics have also been written by a big name – Tony nominee Nell Benjamin.
Finally, the director is none other than Tony winner Casey Nicholaw.
Some of the cast members are Erika Henningsen in the role of Cady Heron, Kate Rockwell, who plays Karen Smith, Ashley Park as Gretchen Wieners and Taylor Louderman, portraying the one and only Regina George.
This Mean Girls musical is just one of the many such adaptations that are expected to hit Broadway in 2018.
A Frozen stage musical will be opening in February 2018 following a limited Denver run.
Part One and Two of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child are also set to open in March after being well received in the UK.
