Tina Fey was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday’s episode, and while there, she acknowledged the rumors that 30 Rock is having a reboot. In fact, the star revealed she might actually have something to do with the said rumors.
‘OK. Here is what I will say. So we were on the red carpet for the Broadway opening [of Mean Girls] and someone was like, ‘Would you ever do a 30 Rock reboot?’ And I was like ‘Maybe …,’ Fey started.
‘A little bit of that is on me, like I must be so thirsty for internet attention. Maybe I’m Banksy!’ she joked.
But seriously speaking, Fey admitted she has actually considered reviving the NBC comedy hit which had its finale back in 2013 after seven seasons on the air.
However, a reboot is not what she has in mind.
‘Executive producer Robert Carlock and I, we’d never do a straight reboot because that would be too easy. So we try to think of a way to do something. What should we do? Like, a prequel that is like Muppet Babies? Or, like, set in a dystopian where there is a lot of, like, robot sex and, like, McBrayer comes like, ‘Oh no!’ But if we really get anything together, I promise you will be the first to know,’ she informed.
Also while on the show, Tina Fey made some fans very happy when she showed up to meet them.
They had lined up to tell the star just how much she has inspired them.
Would you tune in for anything 30 Rock related if Fey decides to actually make it?
