Tiffany Haddish is at the top of her game. As the comedienne gets to star in multiple box office hits she is also getting the opportunity to work with the actresses she grew up watching.
One of those actresses being Whoopi Goldberg. The two worked side-by-side in Tyler Perry’s new movie “Nobody’s Fool.”
Whoopi Goldberg plays the mother of Tiffany Haddish and Tika Sumpter’s characters. Tiffany is the troubled sibling who just got released from prison.
She finds out that her sister is being catfished by a guy that she met and fell in love with online. The felon who’s trying to walk a straight line then decides to make it her mission to find out who the mystery man is.
The “Girls Trip” star visited “The View” where she revealed to the hosts and audience that she fell in love with Whoopi when she saw her in “Jumpin’ Jack Flash.”
“When I saw you do that movie I was like ‘I want her to be my momma, I want to learn from her, I want her to tell me what’s right and what’s wrong. I would pray on it all the time! Like, one day I’m gonna work with her, one day we’re going to be friends, one day we’re going to know each other and then like God answered my dreams!”
The 38-year-old went on to say: “She supported me for a long time and didn’t even know it. I’m gonna get an EGOT too one day! I didn’t do this by myself — I had mentors and people giving me advice and I listened … it’s important to have a support system.”
Later in the week, Tiff surprised her new bestie by crashing her interview on “The Tonight Show STARRING Jimmy Fallon”
