Tiffany Haddish made history recently after she became the first African-American host of Saturday Night Live. She also released a new memoir detailing her rough road to stardom – albeit her ex-husband criticized it – and became the official spokesperson for the company, Groupon.
Tiffany is set to appear in a Groupon commercial during the 2018 Super Bowl. Undoubtedly, Tiffany deserves her spot in popular culture right now, but it wasn’t easy.
When speaking with E! News, Haddish opened up about what advice she would give to her younger self. She said, “I would tell a young Tiffany to figure out what it is you, love, do that every single day, and you will always make money.”
The 38-year-old Girls Trip star said she “loves to make people laugh” and she’s currently making a lot of money from doing so.
When she grew up, people would always tell her that she should focus on something else that was more realistic and would make her money.
Haddish explained, “and look at me now!” Later in the same interview, the comedienne spoke about how much she loves Groupon.
The actress described it as the “greatest thing in the world,” and she even bought a bidet from the site. Haddish joked that “you don’t even need no man when you have a bidet.”
The stand-up comedienne divulged on her ascent to the top of the food chain as a result of her career. Before she became famous, she would go to Super Bowl parties to meet people, but now she actually got to go to the event. The actress joked, “I might meet a football player!”
