Actress Tia Mowry-Hardrict, of Sister, Sister and The Game fame, has delivered her second child, a baby girl on May 5th at 10:29 a.m. The baby weighed 6 lbs and 4 oz and was 19.8 inches long.
Mowry took to Instagram to share the good news of her new bundle of joy as she posted a sweet picture of her looking lovingly down at her new baby.
The caption reads: “Feeling grateful and blessed as we welcome our little baby girl into the world! We are in heaven!”
Mowry-Hardrict revealed she was pregnant back in November. Her and husband Cory Hardrict, who have been married for 10 years have a son, Cree, who is 6 years old.
The twin has been upfront and honest about her motherhood, fertility and pregnancy journey. She has suffered from endometriosis for years and wasn’t even sure she’d be able to have another child after giving birth to Cree almost 7 years ago.
Though she put off trying for a while after her son was born, she and her husband have been trying for the past few years to no avail. The actress admits it was hard and that they tried for “a long time.”
Mowry-Hardict says that her doctor suggested she eliminate dairy from her diet as it can cause inflammation that makes endometriosis worse. A nutritionist recommended she eliminate all added sugar, processed foods, and refined carbs as well.
The beauty felt so elated and excited about the immediate changes she experienced that she wrote an entire cookbook titled, “Whole New You,” which featured more than 100 recipes for people looking to cut back on the same foods.
She credits her eating shift to her ability to get pregnant. It seems all of that reseach and tenacious effort to change her internal health has paid off and she’s reaping the rewards.
As far as the name for her new little girl, it hasn’t been annouced yet but we do have the initials. Her husband Cory reveals that they do prefer unisex names with substanial meaning. The name that they picked for their daughter does start with a C and the middle name begins with a T, for Cory and Tia respectively.
