Even though Bravo has officially fired both Thomas Ravenel and Ashley Jacobs from Southern Charm, neither of them will go away. Last month, Ravenel’s ex and baby momma Kathryn Dennis filed to amend custody of their two children, and Ravenel is now accusing her of using their kids for ratings.
Ravenel is currently facing a criminal trial for sexual assault charges, and at the same time, he is fighting Dennis for custody. Jacobs has also successfully put herself into the middle of the fight, which appears to be far from over.
Here is what we know so far.

Ravenel and Dennis split a couple of years ago, and at the time they agreed to 50/50 custody of their two kids, Kensie, 4, and Saint, 2. But then Dennis ended up struggling with substance abuse and mental issues which eventually led to Ravenel getting full custody of the kids.
During that time, Ravenel started dating Jacobs, a California nurse who – just weeks after meeting Ravenel – packed up her life and moved to South Carolina. Dennis ended up going to treatment and getting sober, and earlier this year the court changed back the custody arrangement to 50/50.
This was a big win for Dennis, who worked hard to get healthy and sober so she could see her kids.
However, while Dennis was doing what she needed to do to get her kids back, Jacobs took every opportunity to slam Dennis, and often called her out in front of Bravo cameras for being a bad mother.
Fast forward to August of this year, Ravenel and Jacobs announce their breakup and Dennis and Ravenel seem to be successfully co-parenting if you believe their social media pages. But, since then, things have gotten crazier than ever.
In September, police arrested Ravenel on second-degree assault charges, and Bravo announced he wouldn’t be coming back to Southern Charm. At that time, Ravenel and Jacobs were seemingly breaking up and getting back together every other week.
Since Ravenel wasn’t returning to Southern Charm, there was no reason for Jacobs to return, so producers didn’t invite her back (Jacobs claimed it was her choice to quit the show). Then, while Ravenel faced his criminal trial, Dennis filed to amend custody so she could get her kids 100 percent of the time.

Now, Ravenel and Dennis are fighting again over their kids, and according to Reality Blurb, he says that Dennis is doing this because Bravo put her up to it so she could create a storyline for the new season of Southern Charm and get better ratings.
Thomas Ravenel is also suing Bravo and the production company Haymaker Media Inc. because he wants to keep them from airing any footage of Dennis or their kids talking about the custody case.
Kathryn Dennis will return in new episodes of Southern Charm in 2019.
