‘This Is Us’ Star Mandy Moore Talks Beauty And What She’d Tell Her Younger Self

Mandy Moore has had quite the career. From those ‘Candy’ pop tunes nearly two decades ago to her heartstring-pulling role in the teen film A Walk To Remember to her reemergence into acting in the widely popular, award-winning television show This Is Us.
Moore has always come off vivacious and bubbly, a ball of laughter and good energy, so doing a show that encompasses so much of very opposite emotions can be difficult.
She recently spoke with the magazine NewBeauty about her go to beauty routines and healthy habits.
When doing a bit of reflective introspection about her career and her image, she says that as you get older, you definitely stop caring so much about the little imperfections.
If she were to give her 20-year old self any type of advice regarding her career and self-understanding, she’d remind herself that there will be bumps in the road and that they are inevitable.
Moore highlights that everything does happen for a reason but that owning and embracing it all is just a part of your life story.
In order to really hold onto her natural joy and keep her life balanced, Moore tries her best to live a healthy lifestyle.
Before a big red carpet event or photo shoot, she increases her water intake and stops eating unhealthy foods. She also likes to fast for at least 12 hours between dinner and breakfast.
However, the actress does believe in the art of indulgence. She loves a good glass of wine, chocolate chip cookies, and french fries but these are delectable items she doesn’t have all the time.
The beauty also likes to really shake it up when it comes to her workouts. She enjoys circuit training, running and hiking.
She is very honest with the fact that working out isn’t her very favorite thing. She isn’t the type of person that wakes up and “can’t wait to work out.” But she loves how it makes her feel.
Due to the time lapses in the show, she is aged in some of her scenes which require her to go through nearly 4 hours of makeup and up to 10 different prosthetics to turn her youthful glow into the face of a woman nearly 70 years old.
