Many celebrity stylists and makeup artists have secret tricks to make the stars shine on the red carpet. The Golden Globes are right around the corner and we are sure to see many Hollywood A-Listers look flawless at the event.
If you want to know how to look perfect in front of the flashing cameras, just like them, here you can find the best hacks to achieve it – easy and cheap.
You too can shine like the Golden Globe Trophies in the spotlight by prepping your skin the right way.
The secret to glowing skin is honey. “Use two tablespoons of honey as a face mask to combat dry, dehydrated skin. It also acts as an anti-bacterial,” advices professional makeup artist and founder of SkinOwl, Annie Tevelin.
If you don’t want worrying about your lipstick budging to ruin your red carpet appearance “Before applying your lipstick, try covering the entire lip with a matching lip liner or lip stain.” Worry free!
If you want your hair silky and baby hairs to stay in place use hand cream! “If it’s humid or raining the day of the awards and you’ve already had your hair styled, rub a small amount of lotion between your palms and use your hands to coax pieces back into place,” says Martial Vivot, a New York City-based grooming guru and creator of the Luxury Grooming Collection.
If you have a breakout, and you feel like you are not camera ready, don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world when you know the right trick!
“Make sure to cleanse the area before applying any concealer or makeup. Once you have cleansed, apply glycolic or salicylic acid to quell and even-out your skin color. You should next keep the area hydrated (yes, even acne should be moisturized) which will help prevent scaring and heal the skin,” says celebrity aesthetician, Gina Mari.
Keep your brows on fleek with this hack!
“Grab unscented lip balm and apply along the brow line to shape and mold as you see fit,” says Tevelin.
If you want your gown to stand out and your skin to glow this is the trick to know!
“For that beautiful, glowing, red carpet skin, add a little bit of foundation into your moisturizer along with a hint of golden or champagne-colored loose eye shadow pigment.”
“This will make your skin look luminous and you’ll avoid having to buy expensive body makeup,” says Dani Fonseca, lead body artist for the Victoria Secret Fashion Show 2016.
Now that you know all of these celebrity tricks you can shine just like the stars on the Golden Globes’ red carpet.
