Kelly Clarkson is the newest coach on The Voice, but even though she is an incredible singing talent, all eyes are on her impressive body. In just a few months – between the pre-recorded taping of the blind auditions and her recent appearance on The Tonight Show – Clarkson has dropped 40 pounds, and couldn’t look better.
Clarkson looks like a different person after undergoing such extreme weight loss. The mom of two has battled her weight for years, especially after giving birth to her daughter River Rose in 2014 and son Remington in 2016.
But since becoming a mom, Clarkson has embraced her body type, and last year she revealed that when she is fat, she’s happy. However, the American Idol winner recently decided it was time for a change and turned to experts for help. According to the insider, she started working out four times a week four month ago.

Clarkson is also getting help with her diet and has a chef to make her healthy meals. She is also avoiding junk food, living on a high-protein diet, and swapping sugary snacks for raw veggies.
The Grammy winner has said that she was the victim of fat-shaming even when she competed on the first season of American Idol. She says that even though she was really thin at the time, she was still bigger than the other girls and people would say things to her.
But, she says that she is super confident, and she has never had a problem shutting people down and letting them know she is okay with what she is rocking.
Clarkson knows that those who make the blunt comments about her weight don’t have her best interests at heart and they don’t care about health, just aesthetics. And, she has noticed that her haters are the loudest when she is at her happiest.
People seem to think that when she puts on weight something is wrong, but Clarkson says it is just the opposite – she is actually very happy. She added that for her when she is very skinny, she isn’t doing well.
As for her work, Clarkson’s latest musical project was something special for her friend, Today Show host Hoda Kotb.
After a battle with breast cancer a decade ago left her unable to have children, Kotb decided to adopt, and in February of last year, she welcomed her daughter Haley Joy.
Kotb proceeded to write her first children’s book I’ve Loved You Since Forever, and to accompany the book Clarkson recorded a song by turning her words into music.
I’ve Loved You Since Forever is now available in stores. Catch a slimmed down Kelly Clarkson on The Voice, Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC.
