It turns out that, for the reality TV star, going to prison was not as traumatic as you’d think – or at least not the worst thing in her life. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has revealed that her mother Antonia Gorga’s passing earlier this year was the hardest thing she’s ever experienced.
The whole thing has been detailed in her tell-all book Standing Strong.
‘I lost my mom [and] that got me really upset and angry. That is what made me open up, because I feel like I lost out, those 11 and a half months that I was in prison, you know, [spending time with] my mom,’ she confessed, adding that her suffering and guilt made her open up in the book and it ended up being therapeutic.
‘It was one of the worst times in my life. I’d go away 20 more times than, you know, not to lose my mom,’ Giudice wrote.
Earlier in the month, Teresa and her family celebrated the woman’s first birthday since she passed away and she revealed that it was yet another difficult day for her.
Giudice revealed that as soon as she arrived in London, she automatically dialed her mother’s number.
It looks like the reality TV star is yet to get used to the idea that she is no longer alive.
Teresa’s father moved in with her and her four daughters after his wife died and is also having a hard time.
The two had been married for 47 years!
