After finding out about Tekashi 69’s video shoot with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj, Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Felicia Mennin regrets not sending the rapper to jail. Here are more details on the situation.
Mennin sentenced Tekashi to a more ‘lenient probationary clause’, likely convinced that he would definitely turn things around.
A rep for Mennin commented on her change of opinion, according to Hot New Hip Hop.
‘Although Judge Mennin was the sentencing judge, the long-standing plea agreement was agreed to by the presiding judge at the time, and the other parties involved,’ Mennin’s rep told TMZ.
Tekashi has recently been involved in a shooting while he was filming a new video with Kanye West.
Nicki Minaj should have been there as well, and the latest reports claimed that the bullets were meant for her dressing room.
Recent reports revealed that shots were fired on November 8th on the set where Tekashi 69 and Kanye were filming a video, and it appears that it was a drive-by.
TMZ has released new surveillance footage.
‘The footage isn’t grainy, but from the distance, the video was being shot, the hooded figures are pretty to make out. But don’t think for a second there isn’t a solution contained somewhere in the extensive field of nanotechnology,’ the outlet writes.
Anyway, Judge Mennin is not the only one who believes that Tekashi is trouble. It seems that federal law enforcement agencies are also growing concern these days that Tekashi might trigger an East-West battle that could become really violent.
