Tekashi 69 hand money to a bunch of kids from Mexico. The Shade Room shared the video where you can see the exciting kids receiving the money.
Someone believed that things should be done in a different manner and wrote the following:
‘Let me teach you young ones something. If you want to give back, create opportunities for your ppl. Handing money to kids doesn’t help them. I’m sure most of those kids would lose that money before they get home. And don’t have a camera there every time you do it, it makes it look like you are only giving for clout. Remember kids…create opportunities, don’t just hand money out.’
Another fan said ‘He may not be the most liked, but I’ve seen him do this countless times. Without a doubt, he means good & obviously has a good heart.’
One other follower posted ‘You can never satisfy the world because if you give back in private, they say “you never give back” Now show it to motivate others, they say “its publicity stunt”. You can never win so just do you. Jesus fed 5000, and it was recorded.’
One of Tekashi’s fans jumped into the comments section and wanted to make something really clear for everyone:
‘EVERYONE PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I’M ABOUT TO SAY*** This is the reason he is succeeding in music!!! Because he CONSTANTLY gives back to less fortunate people. From homeless in Chicago to poor kids in Mexico, HE’S CONSTANTLY DOING IT!!! Is his music good, NO? Does he always act civil, NO? BUT HE’LL CONTINUE TO BE BLESSED BECAUSE OF STUFF LIKE THIS!!!! PLEASE REMEMBER THAT AND HAVE AN AMAZING DAY!!!!’
What do you think about Tekashi’s gesture?
