Tarek El Moussa Blasts Media Outlets for Spreading “fake news”

Tarek El Moussa is blasting “irresponsible media outlets” that are reporting “salacious gossip” and “fake news.”
The reality TV star, who is going through an ugly divorce from his wife and Flip or Flop co-star, Christina El Moussa took to Instagram on Wednesday by posting quite a strong worded message meant to critique most media outlets who spread lies about his and Christina’s split and everything surrounding it.
“No matter the lies, innuendo, salacious gossip and ‘fake news’ that is thrown at me from irresponsible media outlets via anonymous sources, I will focus on what matters most which is co-parenting our children and working hard on our business,” his post read.
Tarek El Moussa filed for a divorce from his wife earlier this month, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
The pair has announced their split on December 12, mentioning that their decision was influenced by a domestic incident that took place this past May. The scary fight involved a gun and resulted in Orange County police getting involved.
The O.C. Sheriff’s Dept. reported that Christina El Moussa was “crying and shaking” during the incident, while, according to eyewitnesses, Tarek El Moussa was seen to “run out of his back door, jump over his fence and walk northbound into the hiking trails of the Chino Hills State Park.”
The couple told officials that Tarek El Moussa had not made any threats during the incident and was not suicidal. He also agreed to relinquish his firearms for 30 days.
“Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage,” read the couple’s official statement. “We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution. There was no violence and no charges were filed.”
According to the network hosting Flip or Flop, HGTV, Tarek and Christina El Moussa will continue to film the reality show as scheduled regardless of their private and personal differences.
