Tamar Braxton filed for divorce from Vincent Herbert back in October, but it may not finalize as soon as she planned. She received a warning from a judge about her divorce being in danger of being dismissed due to inactivity, according to The Blast.
It seems that Vincent has not responded to the divorce petition, but there is no proof that he has even been served with the papers.
The judge informed Tamar that she has to show evidence that Vincent was served in order to go through with the divorce without him.
If there is no proof that he has been served with the documents, then Tamar will remain married.
Tamar filed for divorce after various claims of domestic violence and overall marital distress.
There has been a domestic dispute between the two in 2016 at the Ritz-Carlton in Atlanta where Herbert allegedly bit her finger.
After the divorce filing, Tamar’s mother, Evelyn, went public and described their relationship as ‘volatile.’
‘I love Vince, but I don’t want him to kill my child,’ she told TMZ.
She later told TheGrio: ‘Everybody saw Vince as a knight and shining armor, [but] behind closed doors that’s a horse of another color. I’m tired of [Tamar] being abused and misused.’
Vincent and Tamar have a five-year-old son, Logan. Other than this, Tamar seems to be doing fine these days, except for a controversy involving a potential feud between her and Phaedra Parks.
