Blonde and sheer – that is what Tamar Braxton opted for at the 2017 BET Awards that took place last night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
At the awards show, Braxton performed her new single, “My Man,” and now she is being accused of lip-syncing.
The last time we saw Tamar on the red carpet, she was accompanied by her big sister, Toni.
Sunday, Tamar chose to attend the awards show with her beautiful mother, Evelyn Braxton.
The wife of Vincent Herbert killed it in a white sheer floor-length gown that could have passed for a wedding dress.
The flamboyant television star owned the risqué dress that was so see through that her belly and toned legs were visible.
The “Money Can’t Buy You Love” singer ditched her dark hair for a platinum blonde bob.
Evelyn was very elegant in a white suit and silver shoes.
The former co-host of “The Real” took the stage at the show and performed her song, “My Man.”
The track is the first single from Braxton’s upcoming album due out later this year.
The R&B chanteuse wearing a black lace gown tore the stage up with her high notes as a group of dancers performed around her.
At some point, the “Braxton Family Values” star was on the floor belting out the emotional tune.
Many applauded the performance while others claimed she was not singing.
One person said: “Lmao I was feeling Tamar performance hard until I realized she was lipsyncing. Then I was like . #BETAwards.”
Another added: “TAMAR IS UP HER LIPSYNCING FOR HER LIFE #BETAwards.”
In a recent interview, the “If You do not Wanna Love Me” artist revealed that it was inspired by her parents’ pre- and post-divorce relationship.
She said: “It just rolled out of me. I wanted to channel my mother and say the things she probably should have said then.”
She added: “Absolutely, because It happened to me too, with one of my girlfriends. Except I was not married and it did not involve Vince. Let me state that now [laughs]. But the situation was really painful. You walk around on your self-esteem because your self-esteem is at the bottom of your shoe. You are really trying to figure it out. What’s wrong with me? Am I pretty enough? Do I need to be like somebody else? There’s nothing wrong with you. It is just not the relationship you are supposed to be in.”
