Don’t get it twisted; Tamar Braxton is one heck of a mother, and she adores her sweet son, Logan Herbert, but like many parents on planet Earth, she is eager for summer vacation to be over so he can go back to school.
Tamar wrote a post that resonated with thousands of parents who wish their children had shorter vacations.
The diva, who is eager to have a bit more time to herself, had this to say: “Absolutely NO shade & with all the love in my heart?? BUT.”
Mothers and fathers feeling Tamar’s pain jumped in to share their funny stories.
One of them said: “I know the feeling. My kids don’t go back until September 6th. And the been out since June 8th. “8 to 4 for the LORD” !!!!!!!!! I am CRYING!!!!!!!!!! In New York, the kids go to school when they are supposed to, in September after Labor Day…It’s too hot for them to go to school in August with no AC, plus it’s called Summer Vacation, not Spring/Summer vacation..I’m counting down, it can’t come fast enough. 8:55-3:40 here.”
Another commenter wrote: “Haha. I was singing and dancing the first day back to school. Love my babies but if they tell me one more time they are bored. As a teacher and a parent, this is funny on soooo many levels. I’m ready to send mines back, but not ready to receive the new ones I’m getting. I remember those days in ga growing up idk how they changed it, but summer lasted three whole months when I was in elementary school by high school we had two months kids be in school the first week of August be the lastest I think most kids start down here now SMH I’m happy tho.”
This person stated: “Yeah, it was the same for me at that age. Then when they get into the 2 grade and up you will be waiting like a ticking bomb for school to start back..lol especially with all the homework they will be coming home with too…lol but enjoy these moments cause they don’t last long. I have a pre-teen, and he has a devil spirit now..lol, but he can be sweet too..lol, and we decided to homeschool him for middle school..lol. What is a school from 8 am to 4 pm? I need to find it because the school my kids go to is 8:25-2:45. What working parent has those hours because I want that job too! ”
Do you get what Tamar is saying?
