Sometimes, words hurt. Tamar Braxton received an apology from sister Toni Braxton while filming a segment with Iyanla Vanzant. Tamar was explaining why she left Braxton Family Values.
Vincent Herbert’s wife said she did not like the fact that the network constantly created fake drama between herself and her sisters.
After sharing her concerns, Toni dragged Tamar for her big personality and usage of colorful expressions.
Here is the exchange between the three ladies: “Toni: I wish my sister could narrate without all the expressions.
Iyanla: How does that make you feel when you see that?
Toni: I feel disappointed that she has to be animated to express herself.
Lyanla: That’s just who she is, from infancy. And that makes me feel…
Iyanla: …in her big personality, in who she’s been all of her life.
Toni: That’s not a nice thing to feel.
Iyanla: I know. Not at all.”
The living legend said sorry to her sister, and she accepted. Fans had a lot to say about the exchange.
One of them said: “People take on personality as a child as part of surviving in the family they are in. Every person take a “role” in a family, for example in this family Tawanda is the fixer, Toni is the star, Micheal is the only boy, Tracy is the left out one, Trina is the quiet one. Tamar had to fight for attention and learned this is what got it as a child. Nothing wrong with it per say it is who she is.”
Another commenter wrote: “I believe Tamar is the central drama problem within the sister’s issue’s and she is so blind from it because she doesn’t want to find it, plus if things don’t go her way she has an attitude and shut down and that’s not right, from past season’s she like talking about her sister’s issue’s in marriages and whatever but when it’s her shit bullsh*t marriage oh hell no you can’t talk about mine’s even though it going downhill and its not right again, Tamar just need to grow the hell up and stop being the damn problem.”
This third person claimed: “I noticed she could accept things from Toni and gives her the most respect. It appears she has a lack of respect for the other sisters. The way she speaks to them is very condescending. So is she saying production played a part in some of the breakdowns between her sisters? Because sometimes she said things to their faces that weren’t so nice. So take some accountability for your behavior. I’m not saying everybody is perfect, but some disagreements she had a hand in.”
Tamar is a diva, and that will never change.
