It was recently reported that Pharrell Williams sent Donald Trump a cease-and-desist letter this Monday. This came right after the president’s campaign played the song Happy during a rally that took place a few hours after the massacre at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
‘On the day of the mass murder of 11 human beings at the hands of a deranged ‘nationalist,’ you played his song ‘Happy’ to a crowd at a political event in Indiana,’ Williams’ attorney wrote in a letter obtained by the Hollywood Reporter.
Rapper T.I. read about the news and took to Instagram to share his opinion on Pharrell’s action.
Tip channeled Denzel Washington and wrote the following on Instagram:
‘My Ni**a’ – Denzel voice, Expected Nothing Less from Big Bro.’
Tip’s post triggered cont5rolversial reactions from his fans. A lot of people agree with him, but there are also voices who claim that hate is not the answer in this case.
Someone said ‘Most of y’all don’t even know why you hate Donald Trump. If someone asks you’ll say “because he’s racist” ….but you will have no examples of this at all, it’s just something the media has made you believe.’
Another follower wrote ‘Lol I can picture Denzel saying it too, as if to say job well done now let’s move out.’
One other commenter posted ‘Regardless, how does that help? Hate begets hatred. Everyone mad at President for being hateful🤦🤔#hiphophypocrits.’
