We hear that the rapper is now facing simple assault and disorderly conduct charges over his attack of a security guard. That doesn’t sound good at all! Is it possible for T.I. to spend time in prison over the incident?
As you may remember, Tiny Harris’ hubby was arrested back in May after a brawl with a security guard.
The incident happened outside the gates of his Henry County gated community that the victim was guarding.
The rapper reportedly showed up without his keys after some late-night partying and Euwan James, the security guard, refused to let him in.
After T.I. cursed at him multiple times, the man eventually let him pass.
But after the rapper went home and parked his car, he apparently came back to learn the guard’s name.
James called the police, telling the dispatcher that he was being ‘threatened by a resident and he’s here now knocking at the door.’
TMZ reported that the prosecutors have now charged the rapper with no less than three misdemeanors – disorderly conduct, public intoxication and simple assault.
Meanwhile, Tip’s legal representative, Steve Sadow told the outlet that the charges are ‘baseless, ill-founded and unjustified.’
Regardless, one insider shared with TMZ that he will most likely not go to jail.
Meanwhile, Tip’s attorney told the Atlantic Journal-Constitution that ‘T.I. never threatened nor acted in a violent manner towards Euwan James. Indeed, we understand that the security guard got fired for the way that he handled the situation with T.I.’
‘We’d sincerely hoped the Henry County Solicitor more important things to do to serve the Henry County community than prosecute an African-American man over a verbal dispute during a confrontation with a security guard who was asleep at his post and unwilling to provide his name to T.I. so T.I. could report the guard’s misconduct to his employer.’
