Mel B’s Christmas schedule is no longer going as planned. According to reports, Mel prepared to leave her home in Los Angeles back to her hometown of Leeds, northern England, to spend time with her mother and her sister Danielle. However, reportedly, Stephen Belafonte wouldn’t allow it.
A source who spoke with The Sun said Mel B had intentions of going back home along with her daughter, Madison, 6, and her half-siblings, Phoenix, and Angel, but they couldn’t go because Stephen wouldn’t let her take the kids back to England.
The insider who spoke to the publication said the divorce is over, but there’s still a lot of problems there. “Legally, there are no problems between Stephen and Mel, but emotions and tensions are still high. Remember, all of those wounds are still quite fresh, and it doesn’t help that Mel and Stephen’s drama was all over the news.”

Additionally, the 42-year-old reality star had to cancel her plans with her former Spice Girls bandmates. The group allegedly wanted to meet to speak about a possible reunion. However, they couldn’t talk.
As you may know, Stephen and Mel split up after 10-years of marriage, and after their divorce finished, Stephen said the decision was a “beautiful present.”
Not only is the drama over, but the judge granted Stephen the right to see his daughter. The judge from America’s Got Talent even had to cover his legal fees which cost around $200,000.
They also have to share the money from selling their companies together. Belafonte now shares custody of Madison, and Stephen said at the time that he was happy he “got everything” that he wanted. The producer said it was the “worst hell ever,” but it’s all over.
