The district attorney of New York is back! Alex Cabot, the former star of Law & Order: SVU, will make her return to the small screen for a guest star performance on the 5th of March, Monday.
As you may know, Stephanie appeared in over 90 episodes of the legendary series. The actress will come back for an episode titled, “Sunk Cost Fallacy,” where she meets her old friend, Olivia Benson – or Mariska Hargitay – after a long time away from each other.
The executive producer, Michael Chernuchin, said it was a “thrill” to welcome Stephanie back to the family even for a short moment. He said, “she is, and will always be, part of SVU’s DNA.”
Stephanie, 43, was a regular cast member on the show from the second season to the fifth, before faking her death to go into the Witness Protection Program.
Following her departure from the series, she made several appearances in the sixth season and tenth and made her way back on to the set in the 11th season. Since then, she’s starred in other shows including Nightcap on Pop and Odd Mom Out on Bravo TV.
As you may know, this isn’t the only time SVU has welcomed back familiar faces. Jack McCoy returned for an episode last month, and Raul Esparaza stated he would be leaving the show after six seasons.
The 47-year-old said, “I’ve done six seasons, I felt like it was time to go,” the actor added it was “time to move on,” because the timing and feeling were right.
Raul stated he is a “theater guy,” and is ready to forge a new path. As for if Esparaza intends on coming back for a guest-starring role, he didn’t confirm or deny the proposition.
