More congratulations are in order for the Curry family. After winning another NBA Championship ring with the Golden State Warriors just last month, superstar player Steph and wife, Ayesha Curry, have welcomed their third child into the world. The newest little bundle of joy was born on July 2nd.
It’s a boy!
After having two girls, Riley and Ryan, the couple now has a son.
His name is Canon W. Jack Curry and he was born a few weeks before Ayesha was due, surprising the family.
Ayesha posted this sweet picture of Riley and Ryan cradling and looking fondly at their new baby brother.
They are now a family of 5!
Ayesha had quite the eventful pregnancy this time around as she was very sick during her first two trimesters with something called hyperemesis gravidarum which only impacts a small percentage of pregnant women but causes them to be almost unable to function during the day to day because of extreme morning sickness that lasts around the clock.
Because of this, despite how busy Ayesha typically is with her cookbook, cook show, kitchenware and various appearances, she’s had to really take it easy and couldn’t work much during this pregnancy.
Many fans joked that they have a baby for every ring the Warriors win.
Others thought they’d keep having kids until they had a son, some thinking that the NBA lineage needed to be passed from Steph to his son.
As far as familial legacies go they’ve already started as Steph’s dad, Dell Curry, played in the NBA when Steph was just a little boy.
But it seems that regardless of gender, the Curry’s just want a lot of kids.
When asked if they were going to have any more after this one, Ayesha joked that Steph would want at least three more after the birth of this child.
Welcome to the world to the newest little Curry and congratulations to the family!
