After his departure from Southern Charm, Thomas Ravenel is speaking out on social media about how producers “fictionalized” his story and “took advantage” of him. But, there is still a question of whether or not he left the show or if Bravo fired him.
According to People Magazine, Ravenel’s co-stars have all cut ties with him since they finished shooting season five earlier this year, and everyone is disgusted about how he and his now ex-girlfriend Ashley Jacobs treated Kathryn Dennis. And because of the “dishonesty” and “manipulation,” everyone is choosing to keep their distance.
But Ravenel says that Bravo is making him look bad.

“Lot of lies on #SouthernCharm,” he wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post. “For example, I am sadistic [because] I requested 3 drugs tests of [Kathryn Dennis] per week. Fact is I requested only 3 tests over the course of an entire year.”
The 56-year-old also tweeted — and then deleted — that he was done with Southern Charm and had informed them he was not coming back because he had too much to lose. But even though Ravenel, who shares two children with Dennis, told his followers that it was his choice to leave, a new report claims that Southern Charm’s production company, Haymaker, fired him because of the sexual assault allegations against him.
An insider says that the production company let him go and decided to fire him before filming wrapped on season five, and that is why he didn’t go to the reunion in June. The source added that “no one quits any Bravo shows” because they are locked into multiple-year contracts, and only Bravo or the production company can let them go.
Ravenel has been caught up in tons of drama this season. Two women came forward accusing him of sexual assault, and he has also been in a custody battle with Dennis.

The 27-year-old lost custody of 4-year-old Kensie and two-year-old Saint to Ravenel back in 2016 after she failed a drug test. But since then, she has earned back 50/50 custody after completing rehab and passing all of the tests Ravenel mandated. On the season five reunion, Kathryn Dennis said that she has taken “probably 15” drug tests in recent weeks.
But, Thomas Ravenel continues to claim that Bravo is showing him in a negative way, and he says he is filing a defamation lawsuit, so he can “show the world” the truth.
New episodes of Southern Charm will return to Bravo in 2019.
