Kathryn Dennis is putting as much distance as she can between her and disgraced Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel. Following Ravenel’s arrest for sexual assault and battery, Dennis launched her own line of furniture products and could not be happier about the new venture.
Dennis announced the exciting news on Instagram. The reality star’s line of furniture is focused on children and was inspired by her own kids, Kensington and Saint, whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend, Ravenel. Dennis collaborated with boutique owner Donna Steele to design and create the furniture, which she teased will be available in the near future.

Y’all, the day has finally come! I am so excited to announce …. Kensie + Saint furniture for kids! Couldn’t hold my excitement any longer from y’all! Love y’all for all the love and support! #girlboss #femalepower #whoruntheworldgirls
According to People, Dennis was inspired to create her own furniture after she moved into her apartment in Charleston. The Southern Charm star revealed that she got excited when she started decorating her kid’s rooms and her ideas took off from there.
“In my apartment, I was able to give my kids their own room. And I felt just really proud of that,” she explained.
Dennis did not reveal when her products will be available to buy, but it is great to see her setting out on her own.
The announcement comes amid Dennis’ ex-boyfriend’s controversial arrest. Late last month, authorities took Ravenel into custody after his former nanny came forward and accused him of sexually assaulting her.
The incident allegedly took place inside Ravenel’s home while she was watching his children. Police charged Ravenel with second degree assault and battery, though it is not clear how much time he might get.
In light of the charges, Bravo decided to give Ravenel the boot and he will not be returning to Southern Charm next season.
Aside from the nanny, multiple women have come forward with claims that Ravenel sexually assaulted them. This includes Ashley Perkins, who claims Ravenel assaulted her mom after the two met on a dating app in 2015.
Kathryn Dennis will return in new episodes of Southern Charm in 2019.
