Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis has broken her silence regarding the sexual assault allegations against her co-star, Thomas Ravenel, who is also the father of her two children. The couple dated on and off for the first four seasons of the Bravo series, and Andy Cohen asked Dennis if she had “anything to say” about the allegations during her recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live.
“Well, I’m waiting until the investigation is complete before I comment on anything. Right now, my kids are my main focus” the 26-year-old said.
Dennis and Ravenel are the parents of 4-year-old Kensie and 2-year-old Saint.
Dennis’ co-star Craig Conover also responded to the question and said that all he knows is what he has seen in the media. So, it wouldn’t be right for him to say anything at this point. He explained that he is “where everyone else is.”
Multiple sources close to the network say that Bravo is in “panic mode” over the allegations against Ravenel, and they have threatened heft fines and possible termination to anyone from Southern Charm who talks out of school about the case.
Allegations against Ravenel first surfaced back on May 3rd when Ashley Perkins – a real estate agent – said that the 55-year-old assaulted her mother, Debbie Holloway Perkins back in December of 2015 after they matched on Tinder.
Perkins says that her mother claims Ravenel went into a trance and shoved her onto the nanny’s bed. He then pulled her pants down and digitally penetrated her in her vagina and buttocks. Perkins says her mom screamed “no,” and told him to get off of her.
She also says Ravenel held her wrists above her head, and that explains her bruises and injuries. Perkins also says her mom screamed, “You are a rapist.”
The reality star’s attorney has denied Perkins’ claims via a statement, saying his client enjoys a certain degree of fame and has unfortunately and unfairly become a target for an individual who has dubious motivations.

A second woman – known as “Nanny Dawn” – then reported Ravenel to Charleston, South Carolina police a few days later for an alleged incident from January 2015. She is Ravenel and Dennis’ former nanny, and she claimed she was a second victim. South Carolina police launched an investigation, and the report lists the allegations against Ravenel include a “sex offense” and “forcible rape.”
Bravo announced after the first accusation that Haymaker, Southern Charm’s production company, is also investigating the claims against Ravenel. They say they take the allegations seriously, and once they gather and review all the information, they will take appropriate action.
Meanwhile, prosecutors have not yet charged Ravenel with a crime, and it is not clear if they ever will.
New episodes of Southern Charm air Thursday nights on Bravo.
