Ashley Jacobs burst onto the scene this season on Southern Charm as Thomas Ravenel’s new girlfriend, and she managed to have a total meltdown during a vacation in Hilton Head, and then declared war on Kathryn Dennis – Ravenel’s ex and the mother of his two children. But at first, she was simply the new woman in Ravenel’s life and made a good impression on the rest of the cast.
According to People Magazine, Austen Kroll said that he first met Jacobs in Charleston last summer at a dinner, right after she moved across the country from California to be with Ravenel.
“She [Jacobs] was looking very healthy and beautiful, like strikingly beautiful,” said Kroll. “I was like, ‘Thomas has done it again; of course he’s found a woman who’s 20 years his junior.’ And she was an extrovert, very talkative, and when I left, I remember being like, ‘All right, well this is a wild one for Thomas, but of course she is,’ and that’s kind of what I thought.”

But Kroll added that he had no idea Jacobs would quickly turn self-righteous. He said it was like Jacobs thought everyone should be vying for her friendship instead of it being the other way around. Kroll explained that he didn’t need to be friends with Jacobs. So, if she didn’t want to be friends, he would survive.
Kroll then said that every show needs a villain and Jacobs “plays it beautifully.”
Jacobs has said that because of anxiety and stress she has lost a lot of weight, but she continues to bring the drama both on Southern Charm and on social media.
The online war between Jacobs and Dennis started when Dennis suspected Jacobs was trolling her on Twitter with fake accounts. Dennis responded to the questionable tweets with the simple response “#HiAshley.”
As Kathryn talks about the Brookland Plantation and how trapped she felt. Ashley Jacobs is posting pictures of it labeled "My piece of heaven"…her jealousy is seriously affecting her judgement. Fans started to do some digging, and it looked like Jacobs created the fake accounts, so she could defend herself while attacking Dennis and Patricia Altschul.
Dennis and Altschul have not been on the best of terms throughout previous seasons of Southern Charm, but they have both used the hashtag #HiAshley to call out crazy tweets which Jacobs could have possibly written.
Altschul also explained to fans that Jacobs is not a paid cast member and she doesn’t have a contract.
Dennis is hoping that her new hashtag will become the new “Bye, Felicia.” And considering the upward trend of #HiAshley, she might just get her wish.
New episodes of Southern Charm air Thursday nights on Bravo.
