Oxygen has undergone a rebranding. The channel used to feature women’s programming that includes plenty of love and romance. Now the network focuses on true crime.
There has been a bit of a void on television for true crime fans. Since HLN and TruTv (Court TV) changed their focus, many people haven’t had access to programs such as live streaming trials or coverage from hosts such as Jane Velez-Mitchell and Nancy Grace. Both were known for their late night programs that focused on recent and breaking crime news.
Oxygen is introducing a variety of new true crime programming and Emmy award-winning Soledad O’Brien will be a good draw for audiences.
