During the BottleRock Napa Valley festival this past weekend, the legendary rapper, Snoop Dogg, dominated the show. And how did he do it? The “Gin And Juice” creator brought out exotic dancers as well as a giant glass filled with gin and juice, clearly, a reference to the song which kicked off his career over twenty years ago.
On the 26th of May, Saturday, Snoop Dogg took to the stage and dished on all of the things that have made him famous, including smoking weed, rapping, thug-life, and enjoying life. It’s what his fans have come to expect of him, and he didn’t disappoint.
However, he has deviated from the norm at times. As an aside, Snoop has released several new projects unlike his previous works including a reggae album and a gospel album. USA Today referred to his gospel album as “glorious.”
During the final set of the festival on the weekend, Snoop Dopp captured the attention of many of his fans in the audience when he played some of his classic songs, “The Next Episode,” “Nuthin’ But A G-Thang,” as well as the legendary track, “Gin and Juice.”
Snoop Dogg rapped alongside strippers wearing tank tops, cut-off shorts, platform shoes, who performed acrobatic moves while confetti rained down from above.
At the end of the show, the rapper shared a rhyme for his fans and followers who have shown him love since the beginning of his career in the early 1990’s.
The rapper first garnered the attention of the iconic producer, Dr. Dre, from NWA, and went on to achieve mainstream success with his Dre-produced album, Doggy Style which came out in 1993.
Nevertheless, in his set’s final moments, Snoop Dogg and the rest of the crew brought a giant container filled with gin and juice, and the rapper showed off his special plaque from Guinness. Check out the Instagram post above.
