HBO’s funniest 30-minute comedy about California’s tech hub will be back a month earlier than usual this year. “Silicon Valley” just released a trailer for season five and it seems to be the funniest installment yet even though there will be no Erlich Bachman (TJ Miller).
Richard, Gilfoyle, Dinesh, Jared, Jin Yang, all appear in the sneak peek for the upcoming season.
We left off with Richard having an idea for something that he called “the new internet.” The new episodes will feature them trying to get the Pied Pier off the ground yet again.
Richard’s main competition, as it is every year since the beginning of the show, is to find a way to get Hooli off of its back.
The dynamic of the group has changed multiple times but still somehow manage to seem a bit repetitive. With the idea of a “new internet” mirroring what’s happening with net neutrality solutions, the show may seem more relevant than ever.
With Erlich disappearing in another country surrounded by a cloud of opium smoke, Jared and Jin Yang will be given their time to shine even more as fan favorites.
Speaking of TJ Miller, the actor tweeted his support for his former castmates.
Miller stated: “New teaser for
@SiliconHBO looks very funny- I love that @FunnyAsianDude owns the incubator now! See- told you the show would be better without me on it. Excited to watch https://youtu.be/lRs72x7Lgtc”
The comedian said that his reason for leaving was to pursue other ventures such as “Deadpool 2,” “The Emoji Movie,” and “The Gorburger Show” but there was no bad blood between him and producers or co-stars.
Most recently. TJ has been accused of sexual assault by multiple women. He is reportedly working to clear his name.
The new season of “Silicon Valley” returns on March 25 at 10 pm. Will you be watching?
