In December, Shareef O’Neal is heading to the surgeon’s table for heart surgery and his mother couldn’t be any more worried than she already is. During a chat with reporters from TMZ reports, O’Neal said to the outlet that she has been an “emotional wreck, really.”
O’Neal told the journalists that despite suffering at the thought of her son’s ailing health, she’s “trying to push through.” Previously, TMZ revealed that Shaq and Shaunie’s son was having heart problems, which put a stop to his basketball career for now.
His mother said in the past that she was having a tough time; no parents want to see their child struggle. According to O’Neal, “it’s scary no matter what,” and it’s difficult because she doesn’t know what to do. There’s nothing that anyone can say or do to fix it. It’s up to the doctors now.
Shareef, on the other hand, didn’t seem to be too worried about going under the knife, telling reporters several weeks ago that he was optimistic about the future. The basketball player evidently has a lot of trust in medical professionals.
Today, the power forward was playing around on the court while wearing his Halloween costume. As for what Shaquille has been up to, Shaunie says that he has been giving out iPads and cash to people who need it in the hospital.
Fortunately, in a few weeks, Shareef will be on the other side of the hospital room, and this will all be behind him, Shaunie explained. As fans of the basketball player know, he’s a star forward for the University of California.
Shareef has been following in his father’s steps, Shaquille, who is recognized as one of the greatest basketball players of all time, breaking records as the 8th highest scoring player ever, forever leaving an imprint in the annals of on-the-court athleticism.
Stunningly, at 18-years-old, Shareef is 6’9″ and 215 pounds. Shaq, on the other hand, is 7’1″. Shaq hosts The Big Podcast With Shaq. He’s also the manager of the NBA 2K League. Perhaps, when Shareef is all better, he’ll go on to the same level of success as his father.
