We have learned that Debra Tate is definitely not happy with Hilary Duff‘s brand new movie about sister Sharon‘s murder back in 1969! As fans may already be aware, Hilary is set to play the leading role in the film titled The Haunting of Sharon Tate.
The actress took to Instagram yesterday to share with her many fans a pic featuring her dressed and made up to look very similar to the late Sharon Tate.
‘Had the incredible opportunity of playing Sharon Tate for the past 2 weeks in an independent film. She was an amazing woman, and it was a true honor,’ Duff captioned the snap.
But now, the late actress’ sister Debra opened up about the film, slamming it for being ‘classless’ and ‘exploitative.’
The woman is furious that the producers decided to make a movie about Sharon’s terrifying killing.
‘It does not matter who is acting in it – it is just tasteless. It is classless how everyone’s rushing to release something for the 50th anniversary of this horrific event,’ Debra protested.
Sharon Tate was murdered by Charles Manson’s cult back in 1969.
At the time she died, Sharon was expecting a baby with her husband, Roman Polanski.
The woman was discovered dead in her own home after the infamous serial killer and his followers had broken in and stabbed her multiple times.
Debra was only 16 when Sharon was brutally killed.
In addition to thinking the movie is disrespectful, Sharon’s sister also added that it’s also ‘a total fabrication,’ meaning that it does not portray correctly the tragic passing of her lost sister.
Just ‘tacky, tacky, tacky,’ Debra slammed.
Do you agree with the woman or are you excited to watch Hilary Duff playing Sharon in the film anyway?
