Just one day after Julie Chen, the host of The Talk, came out to defend her husband Leslie Moonves after the misconduct allegations surfaced on Friday, her fellow co-host Sharon Osborne tweeted her support.
As it was reported yesterday, the journalist Ronan Farrow, from the New Yorker, published an exposé on Moonves, revealing that he had been accused of misconduct.
Osborne, who has been on The Talk since the show first began back in 2010, said, “interesting timing, seems like an attempt to discredit Leslie before a major court case.”
Osborne explained that she hopes people don’t rush to judgment, and she is sending her love and support while the investigation continues. The New Yorker published the report yesterday, claiming that six women accused him of sexual misconduct.
Interesting timing, seems like an attempt to discredit Leslie before a major court case. I hope people don’t rush to judgement and let @CBS conduct their investigation. Sending my love and support to my friends @JulieChen and Leslie Moonves

The report also explained that more than a dozen employees endured some form of harassment or other, including gender discrimination or retaliation based on gender characteristics.
Following The New Yorker’s report on Friday, Chen defended her husband, saying that she has stood by him ever since their wedding in 2004.
In her statement, she said, “Leslie is a good man and a loving father.” While most have no intention to discredit the women’s claims, rumour has it that the allegations are coming out as part of a political act, related to the ongoing court case between the CBS board of directors and a primary shareholder.
Interestingly, Chen supposedly has a poor reputation at The Talk, with a New York Post article claiming that Chen has used her husband’s name as a means of threatening her co-workers.
Moonves said at the time of the rumors, “anybody that knows my wife knows she would never say that.” Some have accused Chen of abusing her relationship with Leslie, as she hosts two different shows on his network, The Talk, as well as Big Brother.
