A change indeed, Serena Williams has decided to go honey blonde, and many were quick to point to her good friend, Beyoncé’s famous gold locks as inspiration.
Earlier today, the new mother surprised her fans by debuting two new pictures on social media.
In the portraits, Alexis Olympia Ohanian’s wife is wearing a simple white T-shirt, a black leather jacket, and matching pants.
She has her long sandy-colored hair cascading on her shoulders. The tennis icon captioned the photos: “I needed a change.”
Fans of Alexis Olympia’s mother are not sure about the look.
One person said: “This makeup got us going crazy girl. We are growing less and less sure of who looks good as a blonde? I think her makeup looks great, but her hair was better black, leave to Beyonce and Nicki Minaj.”
Another commenter claimed she went blonde because she has a white husband. Many stepped forward to defend her.
One supporter wrote: “What does your putting weave or changing the color of her hair have to do with her marrying a Caucasian? I can’t figure out your logic here. Anyway, she looks great, and she is legend, who you be?”
A second fan explained: “But your the dumb one throwing accusations she wants to be white. I just made it sound more realistic maybe she wants to look more of lighter skinned as in a mixed raced women. Not full blown white like Taylor Swift. You are way too extra.”
Williams recently turned to social media asking for help for her baby girl who is teething.
She wrote: “Teething- aka the devil – is so hard. Poor Alexis Olympia. I’ve tried amber beads… cold towels…. chew on mommies fingers…. homeopathic water (lol on that one), but nothing is working. It’s breaking my heart. I almost need my mom to come and hold me to sleep cause I’m so stressed. Help? Anyone??”
A mom and grandmother, who masters the topic, shared: “Serena, they have these new tablets out that you can crush for when babies are teething for anyone of you who have babies that are teething try: you can go to Walmart the are cheap, target or Walgreen’s my grandson is 2 yrs old now but he had a tough time teething because he did not like teething rings, nor the ice rings, or pacifier. his pediatrician told my daughter to get these tablets by “Nuby” that dissolve, they are miracle workers, and she will not cry, or chew to try to sooth her gums these work, she will be comfortable for up to 8-12hrs.. try them they do work”
