It’s a new year, and Selena Gomez is cleaning up her Instagram. Is it a part of her New Year’s Resolution? Many of her fans noticed that the 25-year-old singer – who used to follow around 300 people – has now only 37 people on her list.
However, she continues to follow people like Taylor Swift, Francia Raisa, Julia Michaels, as well as Amy Schumer and Jessica Alba. Her fan clubs are still getting love as well.
On Twitter, several of her fans asked what made her unfollow people like Gigi Hadid, Camila Cabello, and Demi Lovato. She even chose to unfollow the cast and crew she works with on the set of 13 Reasons Why.
The home I grew up in, from birth to 13… (no one was home when I knocked this time lol) I visit this place every chance I get. In many ways it very well could have been better than my life today, but I’m grateful for a voice that can enable change today. Even when I don’t know how to do it well or actually want it. I love you Grand Prairie. Thank you. ❤️
As you may know, Selena made her Instagram account private in December after the controversy which surrounded an interview she did with Billboard Magazine.
In the article, they named her as Woman Of The Year but included details of her home in the piece, which prompted Selena’s disapproval.
After she reactivated the account, she uploaded a photo on the 7th of January where she sat outside of her childhood home in Texas. Gomez said she lived there when she was growing up and visits it every chance she gets.
Selena has had a busy year. Not only has she performed at prestigious award’s ceremony, worked on television shows, and played several concerts, but she also died her hair a different color and started dating Justin Bieber again.
Despite the fact Justin’s parents are stoked that she’s dating him again, the feeling isn’t mutual. Her mother, Mandy Teefey, allegedly disapproves of her dating him. She supposedly has “trust issues” over Gomez’s new relationship with Bieber.
