Selena Gomez is no doubt one of the busiest women in the business. The actress turned singer and executive producer is doing press for the upcoming season of “13 Reasons Why” and is getting candid about the status of her health.
Gomez sat down for an interview with Zane Lowe and spoke about the Netflix series and her struggle with lupus.
She explained: “I have been super honest and I’ve been very aware of my platform and I don’t try to hide any part of flaws that are in me. So I think it’s just helpful because I now think that people ask in a really genuine way and I feel the best I’ve felt, just for now.”
Selena added that: “I’m hoping to keep beating it. I’m super happy. I take really good care of myself. And yes, it’s just sometimes it’s hard, you know. You’ll never really get over stuff. You kind of just have to get better and better and work on it. It’s one step at a time.”
The great news was accompanied by a new and revealing single called “Back To You.”
Some of the lyrics read:” You could break my heart in two/But when it heals, it beats for you/We never got it right/Playing and replaying old conversations/Overthinking every word and I hate it.”
The words seem like they reference her on and off relationship with Justin Bieber that she recently decided to end.
The music video will also includes a Justin lookalike.
Another part of the new single goes: “I wanna hold you when I’m not supposed to/When I’m lying close to someone else/You’re stuck in my head and I can’t get you out of it.”
It seems like she is discussing her relationship with The Weeknd while wanting to be with Justin instead.
The Weeknd must feel validated knowing that he was speaking the truth in his diss song about Selena.
