During a game of “Heart Rate Monitor” on Wednesday, January 17th, Nick Jonas opened up about old experiences with other celebrities. The “Jealous” singer appeared on the Breakfast Show on BBC Radio and talked with Nick Grimshaw about everything from Miley Cyrus to his date with Selena Gomez, Joe Jonas, and Taylor Swift ten years ago.
“Heart Rate Monitor,” is just like what it sounds; it’s a game where the contestant is hooked up to a monitor to find out if their heartbeat is slowing down or speeding up depending on the question.
After four minutes, a video of Selena Gomez appeared, and Nick’s heart began to increase. The video said, “Hello Nicholas, It’s Selena Gomez,” and she wanted to remind him of the time when they were at Central Park over ten years ago.
She wanted to know if it “brought up anything for you,” and she knows that Central Park was beautiful and it was her “first time.” According to the singer, it was at the time when he and his brothers were in a boy band and were in Central Park.
However, her “experience was ruined,” due to the fact that Nick walked about 20 feet away from her because photographers were taking pictures of them. Nick thought it would be better if they pretended not to be an item.
Jonas explained that it ruined her experience because they walked weirdly 25 feet ahead of the girls in an attempt to keep their potential relationship secret.
Nick appeared to be very embarrassed about the incident because his heart rate climbed while telling the story.
There can’t be anything worse than reliving humiliating experiences, and that was what happened here. Thankfully, Nick and Selena have both moved on to greater things.
