Sean Young, the Ace Ventura star, was caught red-handed when cameras captured footage of her loading up an SUV in the middle of the day with stolen equipment. According to a report from TMZ.com, the star could be seen with an unknown man loading gear into the back of a van in New York City.
Interestingly, in the video footage, it appears as though Young didn’t even think she needed to be in a rush as she committed petty thievery. The New York Police Department is now after Young for allegedly stealing 2 Apple laptops and video production software.
The goods are valued at approximately $12,000, and the set which she supposedly stole from was one from which she was fired several months ago. Thus far, multiple publications have reached out to her representative, and have received no response.
As you may know, Sean Young recently enjoyed a bit of a career revival with her portrayal as Rachael in the latest Blade Runner movie, Blade Runner 2049. The actress got a chance to recharacterize the integral woman once again.
Fans’ interest in Sean began with many asking if they would see her on screen sometime in the near future. Since then, she had secured 6 movie deals and 5 television programs, but it appears as though she may be out of luck with this latest development.
Previously, Sean dished on the fact that her career was ruined – allegedly – by Warren Beaty, whose advances she refused in the 1990s. This all comes at a time when the #MeToo allegations are at the forefront of Hollywood conversation.
In an interview in 2015, two years before the cascade of #MeToo allegations began, Young stated an entertainment mogul made a pass at her when she was a young woman, and her refusal led to a precipitous decline in her career.
Warren Beaty denied the allegations. Nonetheless, Sean has appeared in a number of cult classic movies, including Ace Ventura and the original Blade Runner movie, which has gone down as one of the greatest sci-fi movies of all time.
