According to new reports, Sean William Scott will replace Clayne Crawford after executives fired him for bad behavior while on set. Fox released a statement confirming the news of Scott replacing Crawford in what will become his first TV starring role.
The president of Fox, Michael Thorn, said that Sean would be a “fantastic addition” to a cast that is already amazing. Reportedly, the 41-year-old actor will play Riggs’ brother.
Just a couple of hours before the last episode of this season’s “Lethal Weapon” came to a close, several publications revealed that they were trying to replace Crawford with another actor.
Crawford took to his Twitter account to state, “Wait, wait, wait. You can’t fire me on my day off!” As it was previously reported, Clayne used his social media platform to half-heartedly apologize for “making people feel uncomfortable” as a result of wanting to “do good work.”
Deadline was the organization to report the news first, and subsequently, the actor took to Instagram to apologize for his supposed bad behavior.
The publication claimed that Crawford frequently turned the working environment into one characterized by “hostility” and “emotional abuse.”
As you may know, this is the first time Sean has starred in a TV series, and will perhaps be his biggest role in recent years, with the exception of the Goon franchise.
For the longest time, Sean’s persona as a bad boy-party boy on the set of the American Pie series, permanently type-casted him and as a result, he struggled to find roles. However, it looks like he might’ve found some luck.
