According to Sarah Silverman, Louis CK masturbated in front of her on more than one occasion in the past, but with her permission, in addition to the women who accused him of sexual assault. During an interview with Howard Stern SiriusXM’s radio show on Monday, the star said, “I don’t know if I’m going to regret saying this,” before going on to reveal her story.
“When we were kids, and he asked if he could masturbate in front of me, sometime’s I’d go, ‘f**k yeah, I want to see that!” Sarah said she and Louis were “just friends,” despite their sexually-charged interactions.
According to the long-time comedienne, on many occasions, it was “amazing,” but on others, she chose not to, and instead, wanted to get pizza.
Sarah used her story as a way of explaining how Louis possibly didn’t understand just how inappropriate his behavior was. His fame became widespread, and the influence, power, and status he wielded as a result were difficult for him to adjust to.
She said, “he felt like he was the same person,” but he didn’t understand that the “power dynamic was different,” so, therefore, it was not ok to do such things.
Laura Silverman, her sister, explained on Twitter that Louis did the same thing to her over twenty times, adding that he was “compulsive, rude and gross,” but not “criminal.”
Sarah went on to say that Louis used his power with “women in f*cked up ways,” and in many cases, the victims were so upset that they chose to leave the industry altogether. Expounding on this point, Dave Chappelle, during his latest Netflix special, poked fun at the women, referring to them as “brittle-a**-spirits.”
As it was previously reported, Louis faced a misconduct controversy of his own last year after several publications reported on the long-with-standing rumors that he would masturbate in front of women.
There was much speculation in the comedy world for many years, before finally being confirmed by the New York Times. Louis was just one of many to face controversies in late 2017, following the revelations against Harvey Weinstein, Kevin Spacey, and several others.
