According to brand new reports, following Paula Faris’ decision to exit The View, Sara Haines is also set to do the same. Apparently, after her departure, she will be joining a more prestigious co-host job at the side of Michael Strahan on Good Morning America’s third afternoon hour.
The details were previously reported by Page Six as well as Variety.
As you may be aware, the third hour of the network was announced back in May and this fall, it will finally be replacing The Chew.
Variety also shared the debut date which is apparently, September 10.
At this time, however, the network is yet to confirm the reports.
The news that Sara Haines is leaving The View comes just three days after ABC announced Sara’s co-star Paula Faris is also saying goodbye to that job as well as her other role on Good Morning America’s weekend edition.
However, Faris will not be quitting the network for good as she will continue to work for ABC News.
The View managed to make headlines this past week for a third reason as well.
There was a confrontation between experienced co-host Whoopi Goldberg and guest Jeanine Pirro, a Fox TV personality, while on air, and that got a lot of people talking.
It is a well-known fact among The View’s audience that the show has been through many cast changes ever since its 1997 debut.
Haines started co-hosting back in 2014 and in 2016, was made a permanent panel member when she left her pop news anchor job on the weekend edition of Good Morning America.
Her first job for the network, however, was a correspondent for ABC News that she got in 2013.
