Sanaa Lathan has been in the business now for over two decades, the result of which has shown her many things about the entertainment industry. From the outside, it’s easy to assume that movie and television sets are free from hostility, but in truth, the competition is cut-throat; sometimes performers are nasty to each other.
When Sanaa was in New York City for the premiere of her Netflix movie, Nappily Ever After, Lathan dished on some unfortunate experiences she’s gone through while working.
“I have been treated just horribly by some women that you may know. I won’t call any names,” the actress remarked. Sanaa claimed she felt “very hurt” by other women she collaborated with at the beginning of her career, suggesting that it may have had something to do with competition, jealousy, and resentment.
As fans of the actress know, hailing from New York, she has worked with a plethora of A-list actresses so it’s almost impossible to know who she’s referring to.
Similar to the “Who Bit Beyonce?” incident, we’re sure fans are more than willing to figure out who it was who mistreated her. One could easily look at her history on IMDB and infer which women are the culprits.
While that’s all unfortunate for Ms. Lathan, she stated that she appreciates her relationship with Lynn Whitfield, her co-star. Sanaa described her as a “light.”
“You can tell that,” the actress remarked, she’s “so beautiful inside and out.” Fans will remember when many people believed it was her who bit Beyonce while at a party in the summer time.
Tiffany Haddish, during an interview with GQ, seemed to suggest it may have been Sanaa. Haddish said the actress who bit Beyonce was “drugged out.” However, Sanaa denied the allegations outright, suggesting they were straight up ridiculous.
