Samuel L. Jackson had social media users buzzing after the Pulp Fiction alum posted photos on Instagram of the improbable pair having dinner together. Judith Sheindlin, or “Judge Judy,” enjoyed an evening out with Mr. Jackson and all of their fans loved it.
Samuel wrote on his account that he was having “dinner with a boss,” and it’s always “dope” hanging out with the reality star and judge. Samuel was in good company that night, as he also hung out with Judge Greg Mathis, who is the star of the reality series, Judge Mathis.
Jackson captioned his photos with hilarious hash-tags including, “straight justice and no chaser,” as well as “straight from ‘da streets.”
Just one hour after their hang out session, the photograph had around 130,000 likes, and many commenters were gushing in the comments section.
One person wrote, “Samuel is such a boss, and it seems so weird that he’s friends with two judges. It’s an unlikely friendship, that’s for sure.” Another person wrote, “Judy is such a legend, her show was awesome growing up, and to this day I still use some of her phrases.”
Not a lot of people know that Judge Judy and Samuel Jackson are good friends, who’ve hung out many times in the past. During an episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Jackson revealed that he and Judith met at the house of his agent, Toni Howard.
However, they didn’t become friends until it came time to quit smoking. According to the actor – also a frequent collaborator with Quentin Tarantino – she recommended him to a doctor in White Plains, and from the subsequent treatment, he was able to quit.
The Hateful Eight actor said Judy was “awesome,” and is “straight up clocking dollars.” By that, we assume Samuel means that she’s one of reality TV’s highest paid stars, with an annual salary of $47 million.
